Son of George Llewellyn Jones of Thistle, Utah and Blanche Lela Williams of Denver, Colorado. Dennis's parents moved from Thistle to Spanish Fork in 1964, and in 1966, when Dennis was age 13, his family moved to West Valley City. The home address in Dennis's obituary is in West Valley City, even though records indicate he died at "Spanish Fork Hospital." Blanche's obituary indicates that one of her sons, George, remained in Spanish Fork after the family moved to West Valley City.
